Bike tour day 1 – Leipzig to Chemnitz

We started the tour early in the morning at my old uni. As soon as we left the city, we followed roads that led through small towns, with idyllic old churches and untouched relicts from East German times.

There were some exhausting uphill stretches, and the 98 km are definitely noticeable now. But I really enjoy being in nature and having time to clear my head.

Highlight of the day: We came across many fruit trees on the way and stopped for some fresh August apples.
